Vanha reppu Marimekolta

Otsikon kirjoitettuani ajattelin, että "vanha" on aika suhteellinen sana. Minulla on ollut tämä laukku vuodesta 2002, jolloin se tuli myyntiin vaan rajoitetuksi ajaksi, ja lasken laukun sen takia vanhaksi. No, nätistä repusta on kuitenkin kyse - syvä viininpunainen väri on ihana ja neliskulmainen muoto hieno (miksi kaikki käyttävät nykyään Fjällrävenin neliskulmaisia laukkuja?!). Reppua voi myös kantaa tyylikkäästi kädessä. Vähän on musta vetoketju kulunut, muuten reppu on moitteettomassa kunnossa. Se oli aikoinaan lahja vanhemmiltani "isolle tytölle".
 

Kotihousut on jo kuvassa päällä, mutta muuten paita on (myös) vanha Indiskasta, reppu Marimekkoa vuodelta 2002 :)

 

Asukuvia ei tule kovinkaan paljon tulevaisuudessa, sillä teen tosiaan töitä nyt kotoa jopa kuukauden ajan. Jonkinsortin ohjelmaa on kuitenkin luvassa, joten ehkä niiden tapahtumien asuihin pitääkin satsata ;)

Oopperassa tuli käytyä. Asu sattui olemaan täysin suomalainen! Tiedän, että bloggaajat usein ilmoittelevat uusista vaatteistaan, mutta minä yhdistelen mielelläni vanhaa ja uutta. Voihan aina ostaa ajattomia ja laadukkaita vaatteita, joita säilyttää hyvin. (Ystävä kysyi, miten vaatteita muka säilytetään hyvin. Vastasin, että pestään harvoin XD)

 

An evening at the theatre...

Good evening.

Today I've enjoyed culture with a friend. I've lived in this small city for a couple of years but I could never have imagined that I'd get to know so wonderful people and really enjoy the theatre here. Naturally I've seen several plays in Helsinki, but this small city really has something to give to it's people - they put effort on their plays', and it really does show! The feelings today's play gave me match the ones with Reichenbach Fall...

When it comes to friends, I've only thought that I'm going to live here for just a few years and then move on. I never thought that I'd get to know such real people, people that care for me and learn to know me! I almost feel bad about hurrying to get out of this place, but on the other hand, life moves on elsewhere too and friendships last for a long time. If not otherwise, at least on Facebook ;)

Sunnuntaikävelyllä ja hyvää ruokaa

Milloin elämäni on tullut sellaiseksi, ettei vapaita viikonloppuja ole olemassakaan? No, kävinpähän kuitenkin pitkällä päiväkävelyllä ja ihastelin Marimekon uusia neuleita. Tämän malliston värit ovat ihan minun makuuni, ehkä jokin niistä löytää tiensä joulupukin konttiin...

Pakkasta -12, ei tullut tyynyillä levättyä.

Keskustaan tosin menin joulumarkkinoiden toivossa, mutta siellä ei ollutkaan mitään :o Hämmästykseni oli suuri, ehkä tulevana sunnuntaina olisi parempi onni.

Kaunista auringonlaskua tuli ihailtua.

 ...ja taas kotiin lukemaan. Tällä kertaa ei vain vihreän teen voimalla voinut jatkaa - pätkis, suuri heikkouteni, auttoi jaksamaan.

Pätkiksen ohella tuli syötyä myös kunnolla :) Resepti on tästä kirjasta. Suosittelen kirjan hankkimista lämpimästi - siinä on paljon vegetaarisia reseptejä (tämän päivän ruoka oli vege) ja reseptien hintatasot vaihtelevat äveriäistä opiskelijatasolle. Kirjasta on ollut iloa jo vuosikausia.

Three looks for the office

Friday, at last!

The office - requiries warm clothes (it's Finland, in November), comfort and medium strictness.

 I start with casual Friday - Desigual it is! I love the playfulness of Desigual, though the sizes vary a lot - I wouldn't dare to buy Desigual online, only after fitting them.

This look was created Monkee Genes-jeans, Desigual and a top by Benetton.

 

This is a really typical Finnish shirt - almost every man in Finland has one, and nowadays they also make these shirts for women. Naturally I mean the Marimekko Jokapoika-shirt. My father has had many of them during the years, this is my first one.

 This is a more rare shirt to be found in Finland. Pirita can be found in Sodankylä, in northern Finland, but she also makes clothes for demand. Her products are made from 100 % linen, which means it is warm in the winter, cooling in the summer. I'm not kidding, it's true with linen <3

And last, but not least my Monkee Genes. It is an ethical and organic jeans brand - one of the few in the world. Support it. Seriously.

That was my week in the office (what, work?! noo, just clothes...). People really liked my Desigual outfit - two women gave me compliments and the only single guy in the office popped in to say hi three times. Cute :)

Festive in Finnish Fashion

Some time ago I attended a very nice gala - men in suits, women first in long dresses, afterwards the hemline went upwards.

Dress by Marja Putus - her site is also in English! I had the pleasure to meet her personally in summer 2011. She's a very loveable woman and I like her ethics in clothemaking. She took my measurements and I was able to choose my favorite colour for the dress. It's unique and only mine <3 The necklace is made from a spoon and it's bought from The Handicraft Fare in Helsinki.
